- Compress and compare the original and output sizes.

- The current optimiser does not promise an exact target size.
- Image-heavy PDFs may need more aggressive image resampling than this tool performs.
Troubleshooting
The output is not smaller
Try the lower-quality option; already-optimised PDFs may not shrink further.
Compress PDF FAQ
Will compression change the page size?
No. The optimiser rewrites PDF data but keeps each page's dimensions.
Can every PDF become much smaller?
No. PDFs that already contain compressed images or little unused data may shrink only slightly.
